It is nice to start where we left in the past!

Tangle Heartizen was the first Tangle Pattern of the Year 2021.

Tangle Heartizen was introduced at the beginning of the Year 2021, during our Facebook Live of HeartiZen 2021 Series. The HeartiZen Series was all about exploring the unique Zentangle Technique - Tangleations. So each day, we would play with random tangle patterns and tried them in different ways. During one of the class-prep days, I stumbled upon Tangle Q-Mi, which is originally designed and deconstructed by our very well-known CZT Damy (Mei Hua) Teng from Taiwan (you can find all her tangles on the TanglePattern Website here).

Trying out this tangle pattern, while trying to fit “the heart-shape” that went along with the 15Days of HeartiZen, a new tangle pattern emerged on my practice book. —-Actually, two tangle patterns emerged, one of which I am sharing here, on this blog today!

As it is always, sometimes, a tangle pattern either emerges out of designs we see every day or sometimes appears in our dreams. But mostly, it appears out of accidents! Thus, embracing the “No Mistakes” philosophy taught by the Zentangle(R) Founders, we continue to explore.
