Exploring Fragment H5
I have picked up my second best Zentangle Journal that I received at my Teacher’s Training Zentangle Seminar in Year 2018. I was really not a journal person then, so I kept it lurking in my bookshelf for a really long time. On and off I kept trying something out, but never really focused on finishing a book.
But, I don’t know, but this Year 2024, I am like so so inspired to complete all my Sketchbooks! I started something in Year 2023, then again dug into it many times a year (just for my sake), but it is now that I HAVE TO GET THIS DONE…….:-D
A day before I finished exploring one of the fragment from the Zentangle Primer Vol1 Book. In fact, I was inspired to dig into this lesson, because I finished my ProjectPack10 lessons, just very recently.
My Story -
In Year 2016, when Reticula and Fragments were introduced to us by the Zentangle Founders, I remember I was so fascinated by them. I could feel there is a whole lot of possibilities that are yet to be discovered by the world.
I then bought a cheap sketchbook and simply started drawing on it. But the paper quality was not good and my pen nib kept bending and even shading was not much fun. I felt uninspired and left it at that. And mind you, this is what happens when we don’t use good quality materials…..that’s the reason Maria Thomas often reminds us (tanglers) to use the best quality of art materials, to get beautiful results of our art. I am always grateful for her reminders and of course with time, my experience also talked about the same thing.
