Art is therapeutic! Overrated or Underrated?

Why people OVERsay these things -

Art is therapeutic,

Walking is Therapeutic,

Shopping is therapeutic,

Meeting friends is therapeutic,

Traveling is therapeutic,

Oh yes.... Also cooking and eating food, etc...

Its funny that how much We overuse the word therapeutic, that slowly its losing its essence in our day to day activity. And sometimes when this essence is lost, then the mere act of art becomes a certain kind of burden or baggage or even turn into FOMO for many creative people. There are withdrawal symptoms like one might stops engaging into fun activities, stops learning something new, or indulge in comparison with other creatives, artists or someone who seems purposeful, etc.

If anyone who has such withdrawal symptoms, I would just say, forget about whether it is therapeutic or not. It is just a mere outcome of an engagement.

The Charm, The Fun, The Joy, is only experienced when one fully indulges and absorbs into the whole activity, like the touching of pencils, pens, colors, the smell of it, each stroke and contact you made with paper, the beauty of your Very Presence, Aliveness to create something is what is Therapeutic!

If you are just experimenting that present moment, you are in meditation, you are enjoying!

Word of Caution: That little smartphone is the killer of ANY therapeutic experience.

But here I am,hoping to save atleast one life and inspire them to choose joy.

In years to come, I feel — Not many will become sick n die out of starvation, water scarcity, or even global warming, but definitely due to overindulgence of the smartphone. Keep the phone down and create art.....BE ALIVE
