Art-Shop Visit; Settling in a new city; visiting old friend!

As you all must have known from my past blogs I have been completely away from regular social uploads and other activities.

It has taken almost a month for me to settle into my new home, the City of Pune.

My kid has to still finish school. We did not want to miss too much of her studies, so decided to go back to Delhi, and stay at my bestie’s home.

My mom wanted me to look after my old granny, so I and my kiddo took a detour trip to Ahmedabad. Who knew that, it would be my last pay visit to be with her? Though she can’t speak or even understand what we are saying (for many years now), I knew she could sense my presence.

I was for some reason apprehensive about so many back to back traveling since I usually feel homesick in about a week’s time. But, in fact, I had this amazing time both at my parent's home and at my friend’s place. We cooked, laughed, sang Hindi songs, danced, played with 2 kids, and took many group pics as memory. We even watched a Sanskrit movie - Sri Adi Shankaracharya. It is an epic movie, and I love to watch it and go back to my Indian roots of deep spirituality, mysticism, and connectedness.

I had also filled up my Artbag with the art tools that I had not worked on.

I decided to come out of my comfort zone and try some pre-strung Zendala (TM) bought at Zentangle HQ.

I even packed Sakura Koi Brushpens, Prismacolor premier colour pencils, and my all-time go-to Zentangle tools.

Here are some Zentangle art pieces that I worked on in my travel days.

I even found a bit of time to visit a local art store, to buy Sakura Products, their new line of gelly roll moonlight pens.
